Irish crossings bridge gap

TWO new Irish crossings worth $2.6million have been constructed in the farming community of Vutuni, Ba, says the Fiji Roads Authority (FRA).

According to FRA, this would benefit about 2000 people in the area.

“These two crossings will offer great support to the farmers in the area who harvest and transport around 5000 tonnes of sugar cane,” FRA said.

“Fiji Roads Authority awarded the tender to Fairdeal Earthmoving Ltd to construct the two crossings. Construction started in January this year and took nine months to complete.”

These crossings are expected to be opened today.
