If you are teacher who upgraded your education to the relevant teaching qualifications as per the Teacher Remuneration Policy, check your bank balance.
The Ministry of Education has today paid out $988,648.30 to teachers who have satisfied this requirement.
‘This timely payout to our teachers is a testament of the Coalition government’s commitment to excellence, ensuring that our team continues to remunerate teachers accordingly,” said Minister for Education, Aseri Radrodro.
“The increment will have a total implication of $2.3m in the 2024-2025 financial year, whereby our teachers with these relevant qualification will be permanently upgraded to either Band E, Step 1 or Band F, Step 3 of the Fiji Civil Service pay grade.”
“Teachers are the backbone of our education system, and their hard work and resilience do not go unnoticed. This gesture is one of the strategies in which we reward and show our gratitude to the teachers for their commitment to quality workforce.”
