Residents in the greater Labasa area have no water.
They are expected to face hours of water disruption today after a burst main line affected supply in the area.
The Water Authority of Fiji confirmed the fault occurred near Sangam Primary School in Delailabasa, prompting urgent repair works from early this afternoon.
Customers living along Macuata Drive, Nalovolailai, Nasekula Village, Tuatua Branch Road, Covata Housing, Tuatua Housing and JW Church Road may experience little to no water as repair teams work to restore the damaged pipeline.
The authority said the disruption began at around 12.30pm and is expected to last until about 4pm.
However, repair and maintenance works are expected to be completed by about 4.30pm, with water supply gradually returning once the system stabilises.
Residents have been advised to store water where possible and use the limited supply carefully while crews continue work on the damaged line.
The Water Authority of Fiji has apologised for the inconvenience caused and thanked affected customers for their patience.
Members of the public requiring further assistance can contact the authority on 5777 or email contact@waf.com.fj.
