AN investment of $85million by Carpenters Properties Limited, Hilton Garden Inn Suva is scheduled to open in the fourth quarter of 2025.
This was revealed by Hilton director development Australasia Tushar Raniga at the Fijian Tourism Exchange (FTE) held at the Sheraton Fiji Golf and Beach Resort yesterday.
The first Hilton Garden Inn’s property in Fiji will feature 178 guest rooms, a restaurant and bar, a fully equipped gym and pool.
The development will be the first major mixed-use waterfront development in Suva, featuring over 40,000sqm of waterfront retail, entertainment, and dining venues, as well as more than 50,000sqm of commercial and hotel space.
This investment will be a significant addition to Hilton’s global portfolio of 1000 properties.
“It is quite exciting for us to launch this brand in Fiji and continuing this expansion throughout Australasia,” Mr Raniga said.
“Hilton Garden Inn is a focused service up-scaled efficient brand. So, its focus is on functionality, great service from the guest perspective and efficient operations.
“We have got a very lean staffing model, which makes it a very efficient operations and the current development is based where development costs are very high. And this is a key focus for owners and developers alike.”
The property which is developed by Carpenters Properties Pte Limited is located along the waterfront of Suva’s central business district at Stinson Parade.
