SIXTY bowlers from around the country are set to compete for the Kontiki Finance Pineapple Cup that begins on Saturday at the Suva Bowling Club in Suva.

Association secretary Diwan Chand said the tournament was the most anticipated tournament to all the bowlers.

“The Pineapple Cup tournament first began in 1928 so it will be undergoing its 91st anniversary this year. It is a very prestigious tournament and we are very glad to have it still running to this day,” Chand said.

“We are looking forward to having more competitors this year and looking forward to a lovely day,” said Chand.
