A total of 58 teams, representing 25 schools, are set to compete in the Vodafone Fiji Secondary School Basketball Championship, which kicks off today.
Throughout the three-day competition, there will be changes in venue. On day one, the U15 Grade (Boys and Girls) will compete at Vodafone Arena Hall A, while the U17 Grade (Boys and Girls) will be at Yat Sen Hall, and the U19 Grade will play at Lambert Hall.
The following day, both U15 grades will continue at Vodafone Arena Hall A, while both U17 grades will be at Yat Sen Hall, and both U19 grades will compete at FMF Gymnasium.
On the final day of the tournament on Saturday, the eliminations and finals will take place at FMF Gymnasium and Vodafone Arena.
Basketball Fiji Media and Communications Officer, Belinda Delana, expressed excitement for the competition, highlighting the top talent from schools around the country.
She mentioned defending champions Marist, Yat Sen, and Suva Grammar as top contenders, along with newcomers Ba Pro and Magadro Secondary School.
Delana encouraged supporters and fans to come out and cheer for their schools and players, creating an unforgettable atmosphere for the athletes.
She thanked Vodafone Fiji and other sponsors for their support in elevating the game to the next level.
