BA Women’s Football has received a major boost ahead of the new season after Rooster Poultry injected $50,000 in sponsorship support, strengthening preparations and boosting morale within the squad.

Ba Football president Praneel Dayal said the partnership marks a significant step forward for women’s football in Ba, acknowledging Rooster Chief Executive Officer Stanley Raniga, for their commitment.

“We are extremely proud and happy to associate with Rooster and thank the CEO Mr Stanley Raniga, who is also from Ba, for supporting Ba right now and helping the women out.

“They have all been deprived of sponsorships in previous years. So, this year I made sure the women get their share, and they performed well last year picking up trophies and this year we are expecting the same again.

“With this kind of sponsorship from Roosters, it truly reflects the company’s values towards women in society right now.”

Ba Women’s Football head coach Charlene Lockington welcomed the timely support, saying it has made a huge difference to their preparations after years of limited backing.

“This president Praneel Dayal has really supported us, something that has never happened before.

“When it comes to sponsorship, Roosters has always sponsored us, but it was never ever like this.

“We are grateful to Mr Raniga for making this possible. Last year when we went for the O’League, we didn’t have any sponsor but now with Mr Praneel Dayal here, he ensures that the women are taken care of in our preparation,” Lockington said.
