A company that was established by two friends 50 years ago has stamped its mark in the local footwear industry over the years. A.D Enterprises Pte Ltd began in 1973 by Dhanshuk Maneklal and the late Ramesh Hansji as an indent agent supplying quality goods and services to importers in Fiji and Pacific.
Company director Yuvraj Hansji said over the years, the organisation went through many developments and transformed to focus on footwear import and wholesaling to all footwear retailers.
Mr Hansji said the family of the late Ramesh Hansji continued with the legacy of the vision set by the two founders. He said Ramesh Hansji’s second generation had brought about modern business practices and offered astonishing good and services to Fiji and Pacific.
“A.D. Enterprises Pte Ltd prides itself as a leading wholesaler in Fiji and exclusively represents India’s largest footwear manufacturer Relaxo India for the past 10 years.
“With household brand names like Flite, Sparx, Bahamas, Boston and Elena are now widely sold at all leading footwear retailers Fiji wide.”
A.D Enterprises Pte Ltd employs 10 people. With the back-to-school rush taking over the retail sector by storm in these past couple of days, Mr Hansji said they had no issues with supply of products. “We are a solution driven organisation and we plan our products in advance to ensure we can cater the needs of the market and considering the inconsistency the current logistics market.”
The past three years had been very challenging and damaging for most of the businesses in Fiji and the rest of the world in terms of border closures, travel restrictions and supply chain issues.
Mr Hansji said the low reliability in the logistics industry had been the great challenge the company faced as an importer which had led to constant delays in product shipment.
“To ensure our customers have constant stock and to meet our principal commitment, we had to increase our stock holdings and orders to meet the growing demand of our customers.”
The company held a cocktail function yesterday to treat their customers for their valued service for the past 10 years and for their commitment.
