THE Motibhai Group contributed another $11,653.75 to the Fiji Cancer Society after hosting the 20th Bushells Fiji’s Biggest Morning Tea at the company’s head office in Nadi yesterday.

At the official launch of the campaign in May, the company handed the society $6500 and has so far raised over $43,000 through the morning tea fundraisers.

Motibhai Group manager Visual Glenys Traill said the event was an opportunity to unite around a worthy cause.

“Bushells Fiji’s Biggest Morning Tea is more than a celebration of community and friendship,” she said.

“It’s a powerful symbol of unity, compassion, and hope for everyone whose life has been affected by cancer.

“Since 2006, the Motibhai Group has proudly partnered with the Fiji Cancer Society, reflecting our deep commitment to corporate and social responsibility, and our passion for giving back to communities we serve.

“Events like this one help break that silence. They raise voices, build awareness, promote early detection, and most importantly remind those affected by cancer that they are not alone.”

Saukuru Seavula, from Aspen Lautoka Hospital’s Oncology Unit, commended the stakeholders.

“Your support is not just measured in resources, but in lives touched and hope restored,” she said.

Ms Seavula said oxygen concentrators were provided to patients who would otherwise struggle to breathe, and diapers were supplied to ensure comfort and dignity for those in advanced stages of cancer illness.

Transportation was also arranged by the FCS, whether through taxi services or ambulance retrievals.
