More than 400 members of the military and navy will be part of the national Fiji Day celebrations at Subrail Park in Labasa tomorrow.
Labasa Town Council special administrator Samuela Ligairi said the personnel would take part in various ceremonial duties as the nation celebrates another independence day.
“A total of 400 members from the Republic of Fiji Military Forces and Fiji Navy will be part of the main celebrations,” Mr Ligairi said.
Mr Ligairi said bilateral partners, apart from government ministers, would be part of the celebrations.
“The chief guest is the provincial chief and president Ratu Wiliame Katonivere,” he said.
“The celebration is an opportunity for us to come together as a community and show our commitment to building a stronger, more united Fiji.
“It’s also a day to reflect on our journey as a nation and celebrate our shared values.”
Mr Ligairi said the last time the national celebration was held in Labasa was in 2018.
