$2m hotel opens

DUBBED as a hotel in its own class, the North Pole Hotels opened the doors of its newest business venture worth $2million in Labasa last week.

Speaking at the opening of the hotel, owner Vinesh Dayal labelled the event as the culmination of 18 months of hard work and preparation.

Mr Dayal said the hotel was proof to visitors that Labasa Town offered one of the best hotel facilities in the country.

“I am sick and tired of listening to people and their views of Labasa and how its potential is always underestimated,” he said.

“North Pole has since then stepped forward in the market to ensure that visitors do not complain about facilities that we offer.

“We have invested a little over $2million in the project and this figure is after the savings of 30 per cent by going to China and Malaysia directly to purchase the majority of the modern exterior that you see in the hotel.”
