25 teams for Muslim Futsal event

THE Tebara Hardware Muslim Futsal IDC 2024 is underway at the FMF Gymnasium in Suva, with a total of 25 teams competing in this three-day event.

This number is higher than last year, showing the growing popularity of the competition.

Organised by the Fiji Muslim Sports Association, this is the second year of the tournament, and it has been a success so far.

Vice-president Mohammad Faruk mentioned the competition has been tough, but filled with exciting matches.

“There are different divisions in the competition including the main division, masters division, under-15 grade, and Legends grade,” said Faruk.

“Each team is aiming for victory, with a prizemoney of $1000 for the winners of each grade.

“The competition has showcased great talent, particularly in the U15 teams, it has been a thrilling experience for both players and spectators.

“Major sponsors such as Signs Pacific Nadi, Safety Rentals Cars, and Tebara Hardware have played a crucial role in making this event possible, their support is greatly appreciated.”

Meanwhile, results in the main grade Ba 3-3 Nadi, Makoi 4-4 Suva, Drasa 4-3 Nasinu, Navua 6-3 Sigatoka, Nasinu 0-6 Valelevu, South Leg 1-3 Sigatoka.

The Muslim Futsal competition will conclude today.
