AN artesian mineral water company is investing about $20million into its expansion plans over the next three years.
Frezco Beverages Limited is building its new bottling plant in Nadi to expand its growing water export market.
Company founder Altaaf Jamal says the new facility is planned to officially open in late September this year.
” Initial stage one investment including the land, building and plant will be running around $5m. For stage two and three, the company plans to further spend $7-10m to grow into new production lines from source within two years,” Mr Jamal said.
The company has also secured new export markets.
“Our new market is Middle East with Dubai, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Kuwait and now importing with our main distribution centre set up in Kuwait,” he said, adding they plan to expand in this region this year.
“A new business development manager was appointed last week to expand our water and other related product sales in China with an initial six containers already shipped.”
Mr Jamal said Japan was growing, and after completing the new Japanese label they would enter the supermarket shelves by May.
“In the USA market, we are in Indiana with close to 60 family express retail outlets with continuous growth in this area and our California market, mainly Southern California , is picking up sales with new distributors doing extremely well.”
Mr Jamal said their main aim was to have the product in large chain stores as they get ready to expand with their new plant.
