SPIRITS are high in camp for the Fiji Airways Fiji men’s 7s team in Canada as the Vancouver 7s gets underway this Sunday.
The team flew to Vancouver from Nadi last week and have been committed to a rigid training schedule as the next leg of the HSBC SVNS looms nearer.
According to head coach Osea Kolinisau, the team had a ‘flush’ on Saturday and Sunday along with a ground session he described as a way to “just get the boys into running and familiarising them to the weather.”
On Monday, a double session in the gym and on the field was put in place. Tuesday was a day of only one session of rugby which extended to eight sessions yesterday.
He was happy to report there were no injuries sustained by the players so far and they were acclimatising well and looking forward to the weekend.
Fiji 7s men’s fixtures:
Sunday: Fiji v France at 7.19am, Fiji v Argentina at 9.31am, Fiji v Australia at 2.56pm.
