Extra Supermarket Rewa FC has thrashed Sigatoka Electric/Nadroga Auto Marine Upholstery Works Nadroga by 7-0 in the opening match of 2024 FMF IDC Super Premier Division at Churchill Park in Lautoka.
The Roderick Singh-coached displayed good attacking football in the first spell, as they scored a brace through John Orobulu and a goal each from Asivorosi Rabo and Epeli Valevou for a commanding 4-0 lead at the break.
A heavy downpour proved to be the blessing in disguise for Rewa in the match, with the Delta Tigers playing at ease in the wet conditions.
Rewa continued with their fine form in the second half, with Orobulu putting in a man-of-the-match performance, scoring a hat trick in the second half, for a comfortable win.
It is looking to be a wet 2024 FMF IDC with the incessant rain continuing in Lautoka.
