A total of $4 million have been allocated in the 2024 to 2025 National Budget for the procurement of 100,000 blank passport annually.
Minister for Finance Biman Prasad said this was for the next five years.
Apart from this, Prof. Prasad said there will be 20 new positions within the Immigration Department.
He said this was to improve service delivery within the Immigration Department
