Those under the social welfare scheme, free medicine scheme and receiving kidney dialysis subsidy will get an automatic access to their funds without an assessment or income verification.
Minister for Finance Professor Biman Prasad says they have paid $19 million to extend these services.
“They will just need to present their welfare free medicine card to the participating GP,” Prof Biman said.
“We are estimating an additional cost of $5 million.”
