FIJI’s Robert Elder has won Fiji’s first Gold medal in the sport of Archery.
Elder won the men’s recurve with 986, while Tahiti took silver and bronze: Jean-Pierre Winkelstroeter with 964, and Thiry Teng on 955.

Fiji also won two bronze medals in the sport of weightlifting while we won another bronze in Va’a this morning.
Fiji now has won 1 Gold and four Bronze medals at the competition so far.
