2018 Fiji Sports Awards: Yee and Veitokani scoop top awards

THE Fiji Sportsman of the Year was awarded to 7s rugby rep Alivereti Veitokani while the Sportswoman of the Year was awarded to Sally Yee of Fiji Table Tennis.
Veitokani’s father Jolame Turaganiqila was present to receive the award on his son’s behalf.
Turaganiqila said he was happy with his son’s performance.
The 64-year-old from Lomanigasau in Tailevu said this achievement was for his family and friends back home.
He recalled the sacrifice his son made to become the man he is today.
“I cannot say how happy I am. This is for all our family back home,” he said.

Sports Volunteer of the Year – Leilani Ravatu (Fiji Hockey Federation)
Young Male Athlete of the Year – Vicky Wu (Fiji Table Tennis Association)
Sports Photographer of the Year – Jonacani Lalakobau (Fiji Times)
Sportswoman of the Year – Sally Yee (Fiji Table Tennis)
Administrator of the Year – Anthony Ho (Fiji Table Tennis Association)
Fiji Sportsman of the Year – Alivereti Veitokani (Fiji Rugby Union)
Team of the Year – Fiji Drua (Fiji Rugby Union)
