Update: 10:12PM TEAM Fiji is expected to reach Ashgabat in Turkmenistan for the 2017 Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games.
In a statement issued by FASANOC today, the team had arrived in Bangkok, Thailand for a stop-over before completing their transit to their final destination.
“After traveling for the last 15 plus hours, we are looking forward to some much-needed rest and hopefully rejuvenate for the rest of our flight to Turkmenistan,” Team Fiji chef de mission Sale Sorovaki said.
The team was on a 24-hour rest before departing for Turkmenistan tomorrow morning.
Team Fiji consists of four teams comprising athletics, swimming, tennis and weightlifting.
