I WAS able to catch up with my sleep in the morning today(yesterday) as the only competition of the day was Fiji Women’s Basketball taking on Guam at 11am.
My day started with me getting up at 7am before having breakfast.
I left home for Friendship Hall at around 10.30 am for the women’s basketball between Fiji and Guam.
It was nice to see other Fiji athletes who did not have any games during the day to support the team.
After the games we headed home and bought groceries for lunch.
We managed to buy coconut and cassava from the roadside markets, and had fish boiled with coconut milk for lunch.
Since basketball was the only sport held today, I spent the rest of my day covering the Pacific Games opening ceremony which was held at the Main Stadium in Honiara.
