RADISSON Blu Resort Fiji Denarau Island contributed more than $173,000 to support local communities, schools, health facilities, sports organisations and environmental initiatives in 2025.
Its year-long community programs were part of the resort’s Responsible Business initiative which aligned with the Radisson Hotel Group’s global framework.
Resort general manager Charles Homsy said the initiatives were spearheaded by their hardworking staff.
“Our Responsible Business initiatives are driven by our people and our connection to the communities we serve with support tremendous support from guests,” said Mr Homsy.
“In 2025, we are proud to have made a tangible difference across health, education, environment and youth development, while continuing to grow responsibly in Fiji.”
According to the resort, its community engagement included health and community care which was a priority.
“With ongoing support provided to Nadi Hospital, including air-conditioning servicing, women’s ward washroom upgrades, maternity ward furniture, medical equipment donations, and air-conditioning units for specialist wards.
“The resort also contributed to disability support organisations, cancer awareness initiatives, kidney health fundraising, and community wellness hubs, ensuring essential services reached those most in need.
“Radisson Blu Resort Fiji invested heavily in education, donating computers, laptops, projectors, books, furniture, water projects, walkways, boreholes, and learning resources to kindergartens, primary and secondary schools across Fiji.
“These contributions aimed to improve access to learning and enhance digital literacy and create safer, more inclusive school environments.
“Recognising the role of sport in youth empowerment and community cohesion, the resort supported numerous rugby, touch rugby, soccer, cricket, and athletics teams through uniform sponsorships, equipment donations, food sponsorships, and event hosting.
“These initiatives helped nurture talent, promote healthy lifestyles, and strengthen community pride.”
