Sixteen passengers of a three tonne truck were conveyed to Korovou Health Centre in Tailevu today for medical treatment following an accident at Nailega on the Kings Road this morning.
The accident that involved the truck and a private vehicle occurred at around 8am.
Details are sketchy at the moment, but Fiji Police Assistant Commissioner Operations Livai Driu said they had commenced their investigations.
He urged members of the travelling public to drive safely and to remain vigilant while on the road with the festive weekend only a few days away.
