ALFREDA Fisher and Adi Salote Nailolo have made the Fiji Airways Fijiana 7s travelling squad to the Singapore and Perth 7s tournaments.
Also returning to the squad is Kolora Lomani who was part of the national women’s 7s team to the 2024 Olympic Games in France.
The trio who were part of the Fijiana 15s Women’s Rugby World Cup squad last year have switched codes and have successfully made it into the squad after weeks of rigorous training sessions.
They were tested at the recently concluded Coral Coast Fiji 7s where they helped the shadow Fijiana 7s side defend their title.
Other than the three, coach Richard Walker has retained the core of his squad including Verenaisi Ditavutu, Adimereani Rogosau, Sera Bolatini, Sesenieli Donu, Ana Maria Naimasi, Adi Vani Buleki, Reapi Uluinasau, Mariana Talatoka and Silika Qalo.
Fijiana is pooled with Australia, Japan and USA in pool A of the Singapore 7s which is schedule for January 31 to February 1.
