Bayview Bar and Restaurant opened just a month ago in Lami, outside Suva and already there has been overwhelming positive feedback from customers.
Located at the new RB Patel Complex Harbour Point in Lami, the restaurant is an investment by Avon Investment Ltd.
Managing director Tekeshor Pal (Takesh) said they invested about $150,000, providing jobs to 10 experienced local coffee baristas, bartenders, waiters, waitresses, chefs and security.
“Many customers have commended and complimented our food and hospitality services before leaving the premises.
Majority of our customers have posted marvelous feedbacks on our social media page ranging from reviews like their experience of a lovely sunset view with hit music and karaoke or watching live events on big TV screen while dining also, rating us full stars for the best affordable prices of food and drink in town.
“This makes us very happy and we’re willing to keep meeting our customers’ needs.”
Mr Pal said so far business had been great and the restaurant was quickly gaining popularity.
“We are attracting more customers day by day and thanks to our spacious restaurant, best parking area, we are able to cater for a large number of guests.
“In terms of competition, we are not facing any challenges at the moment since there is no other wine and dine operators in Lami similar to what we provide.”
Bayview Bar Wine and Dine Restaurant provides all possible affordable options under one roof and Mr Pal said: “Beginning from our operating hours which is 10am to 8pm and willing to extend and be flexible in case if we’re booked for a function is what makes us stand out from the rest.”
Apart from Chinese cuisine, the restaurant also has pizzas which is prepared by highly professional chefs, using high technology pizza making machine/ovens which prepares a perfectly baked pizza within 5-7 minutes.
“We also have different flavours of cakes to enjoy accompanied with freshly brewed coffee as well. In addition, we have introduced fresh and healthy fruit juices like soursop juice and kumquat which suits best in this tropical hot weather.
“To make our restaurant stand out more, we have incorporated karaoke for the amusement of our customers, making Bayview Bar and restaurant a high-class wine and dine business.”
Mr Pal said Avon Investment Ltd had been investing in many different projects and ventures over the past few years. In the past the company has invested into hotels, resorts, restaurants, nightclubs, and various properties.
“We are intending to expand and prioritise our business further in hospitality industry given the opportunity of having a good site, location, accessibility and security.
“Avon Investment Ltd is looking forward to invest in future in areas such as restaurants and properties.”
Mr Pal said they had plans to expand this business in the future to provide a luxurious and five-star experience to the people of Fiji.
He said it would allow them to increase more exposure in potential locations across Fiji.
“This shall depend on the upcoming time and opportunities.”
