The body of a 15-year-old student, missing since 24 December 2025, was discovered this afternoon in Tamaivua-i-Wai.
Investigators say the teenager had left home on 24 December with friends to go to Suva but did not return as expected.
His family had been searching for him within the settlement and with relatives and friends before reporting him missing to the Samabula Police Station earlier today.
The body was discovered by a 30-year-old man, who immediately alerted police.
The victim’s parents confirmed his identity based on the clothing found at the scene.
Police have confirmed that investigations are ongoing.
