The Tailevu Rugby Football Union (TRFU) is thrilled to announce a substantial partnership with Standard Concrete Industries, valued at $10,000.
This collaboration will play a pivotal role in supporting the Union’s ambitious 2025–2030 Business Plan, which focuses on grassroots rugby development, career pathways, and gender inclusivity.
The partnership signifies a new beginning for Tailevu Rugby as it continues to prioritise grassroots development, expand opportunities for players, and fortify the future of rugby in Tailevu.
Joseph Rodan, president of the Standard Concrete Tailevu Rugby Football Union, expressed his gratitude and optimism for what lies ahead. He lauded Standard Concrete Industries for their generous sponsorship, which will enable the Union to invest in grassroots rugby, and nurture young talents.
“On behalf of the Tailevu Rugby Football Union, I wish to sincerely acknowledge Standard Concrete Industries for this generous sponsorship,” said Rodan.
“The partnership empowers us to invest in grassroots rugby, nurture the talents of young men and women, and create structured career pathways that align with our 2025–2030 Business Plan.
“This partnership is not just about sponsorship; it is about building champions on and off the field for the province of Tailevu and Fiji at large.”
In line with the partnership, the men’s senior team will now compete as the Standard Concrete Tailevu Rugby men’s senior team, while the men’s Under 20 team will be known as the Standard Concrete Tailevu Rugby men’s Under 20 team.
Additionally, the women’s senior team will proudly represent Humes Tailevu Rugby women’s senior team on the field.
In closing, Rodan reiterated the union’s commitment to growth and success under the banner of the Standard Concrete Tailevu Rugby Football Union.
“Together with Standard Concrete and Humes, the union is committed to building stronger players, stronger teams and a stronger Tailevu.”
Meanwhile, Tailevu will take on Lautoka in round eight of the Skipper Cup competition at Churchill Park.
The match is scheduled to kick off at 3pm.
