$100k to revamp hostel

FEMALE boarders of Niusawa Methodist High School on Taveuni will soon be accommodated in a well-facilitated dormitory now that refurbishment works are in progress.

Thanks to the Rotary Club of Taveuni in conjunction with the Rotary Club of Chelsea in Victoria, Australia, more than $100,000 has been set aside for the project.

Rotary Club of Taveuni president Geoff Amos said they decided to help the school because it was in dire need of such works.

“Since 1958, this is the first time for the dormitory to undergo refurbishment works. The renovation works started in August and is expected to be completed before school starts next year,” Mr Amos said.
