FIJI RUGBY’S coffers bubbled over yesterday after Coca-Cola Europacific Partners Fiji poured a massive $1.5 million into the national game.

In a three-year renewal that secures the future of everything from village tournaments to the world stage, the FRU has locked in the “Real Thing” to ensure that pathways remain world-class

The renewed partnership reinforced the long-standing contribution of iconic beverage brands, Coca-Cola and Fiji Gold to the development of rugby across the country. These two brands continue as the official beverage partners of the Fiji Rugby. The agreement also includes direct financial investment and product supply that supports national competitions, assists performance programmes and strengthen pathways for players progressing through the rugby system.

Coca-Cola Europacific Partners Fiji commercial director, Ryan Mahoney said the partnership reflects the company’s responsibility to invest in the future of the sport.

“This $1.5m partnership over the next three years reinforces our brand’s long-standing connection to the heart of the Fijian rugby culture. From village tournaments to the world stage, our beverage brands have been part of rugby’s journey for generations.”

FRU chief executive officer Koli Sewabu acknowledged the continued support.

“We are grateful for the confidence you have shown in our programmes and in our athletes. This investment strengthens grassroots and performance rugby, improves the experience of players, officials and supporters who bring our game to life.”
