I am tired of being told that no Fijian is being left behind because I see people suffering every day, says Liliana Pareti Warid.

One of 12 provisional candidates of The People’s Alliance party, Mrs Warid believes Fijians need to stand up for the change they have been crying out for, especially for their future generations.

“This is the time for us to stand for our children,” she said.

“I am tired of having our children look at leaders who are arrogant, rude and disrespectful. “I am tired of seeing our children being lost to drugs and alcohol.

“I am tired of being told that no Fijian is left behind when everywhere I turn, people are suffering.

“Now is the time for us to stand.”

Hailing from Vanuabalavu in Lau with maternal links to Kabara, she said standing for this year’s 2022 General Election was a Godgiven calling.

“After I finally accepted His plans that we are going into politics, I realised that in my whole 45 years, my experiences both personal and professional in and outside of Fiji have equipped me for this season.

“However, I don’t stand here just on my personal experiences and my achievements. I stand here on the shoulders of those that have gone before me. “So that I could achieve more and I stand on that foundation for those who are coming after me.”
