FIJI Airways Flying Fijians centre Jale Vatubua has committed his immediate future to Pau after extending his contract to 2022, the French Top 14 side announced on their official website today.

The 27-year-old has been with Pau since arriving in France in 2012 and has now scored 13 tries in 98 matches for the club.

Last month he played in the Fiji side that made history in Paris when they defeated France 21-14 and is likely to feature at next year’s World Cup in Japan.

Vatubua is the third Pau player in recent weeks to sign long-term contracts with the club following his compatriot and wing and fellow Fijian Watisoni Votu and fellow centre Florian Nicot, both of whom have signed until 2021.

Pau have dropped to eleventh in the Top 14 after four successive defeats.
