STUDENTS of Twinkle Stars Preschool/Day-care aged 4 to 6 years toured The Fiji Times newsroom yesterday morning.

This was part of their yearly program which includes visitation to various offices in Suva.

“Today we decided to bring them down to The Fiji Times because the media has been playing an important part in their lives,” said Mrs Premina Jivaratham, director of the preschool.

The tour aims to bring students out of the classroom setting to give them an idea of the work place.

“It’s a very good exposure for the kids, they have to know the reality of what’s going on in the world today and also to get the students to read more, they also have an interest in gadgets” Mrs Jivaratham said.

The tour was hosted by The Fiji Times online editor Timoci Vula.
