The Touch Federation Fiji business house tournament is expected to draw some top players for the four-day tournament.

TFF president Tevita Mau confirmed the tournament would take place from November 16–20.

Mau said there were rules that needed to be followed in order for everyone to enjoy playing in a fair competition when the tournament was finished.

“For example, in the mixed open, standard teams may have a maximum of three men and three women. If only two women are available to play, the team with the disadvantage in numbers can negotiate with the other teams for equal ratio,” he said.

“If this is allowed, then the game will commence with two females each. If this is not agreed by the other team, then the team with the disadvantage will have to play with only two females and a player down.

“Also a maximum of 30 players per team per game will be allowed.”

He said all teams could register 30 players as forms and fees to be submitted before the commencement of the tournament.

“Guest players can only play for the team that they have already registered with,” he said.

He said the venue of the tournament would be confirmed later.
