STAFF members of The Fiji Times and their families came out in numbers for its family fun day, held at Gospel Primary School in Samabula, Suva last Saturday.
Competition during the event consisted of sports such as soccer, touch rugby, volleyball and netball while the day began with an intense Zumba session aimed at preparing the teams for the day ahead.
The organisation was divided into six teams with its respective colour which included black, white, yellow, blue, red and orange.
Teams included production and information technology (IT), circulation and dispatch, finance, transport and maintenance, advertising and the editorial department itself having two teams due to its large number.
Adults immersed themselves in vigorous play in all sports, displaying flair and agility typically unnoticed in the confines of their office spaces at 177 Victoria Prde, Suva.
Children of various ages were a key part of the fun day as well, with activities such as apple eating, egg race, sack race, wheelbarrow racing and a tug of war session.
The fun day concluded with lunch as the day slowly went by to the evening where staff members flocked to Café Noir for dinner and the presentation of awards for the sports competitions held earlier.
The Editorial white team emerged as the overall winners of the competition, led by captain and photographer Eliki Nukutabu.
