A third suspect, a 37‑year‑old self‑employed man from Suva, has been charged with one count of Unlawful Importation of Illicit Drugs in connection with a major liquid methamphetamine investigation.
This development follows earlier charges against two police officers who are accused in relation to the same operation.
The two officers were arrested after a liquid chemical seized by law enforcement tested positive for methamphetamine.
Police said the charge was sanctioned by the Office of the Director of Public Prosecution (ODPP) as further investigation into the case continues.
The accused will appear in custody at the Suva Magistrate Court today.
