Speaking at a cocktail event for its customers in Suva tonight, Mr Naua said they would continue to roll out their fiber broadband services in 2019.

TFL commenced deployment of its ultra-fast fiber broadband service to customers in Bayview and Namadi Heights in Suva earlier this year.

This is whereby Telecom’s fiber optic cables will be extended right inside the individual homes, delivering internet speeds of up to 150Mbps initially, which can be upgraded in future to speeds of up to 1,000Mbps (1Gbps).

Recapping on the year, Mr Naua said 2018 had been a challenging year to solidify their networks and improve their back end systems among otuer developments.

‘It’s been a challenging 12 months, like any other business,” he told Fiji Times Online.

“As a country, I think it’s been a special year for us in that we had election and the other events that we had.

“So we felt that at the end of the 12 months, we thought to take time out and meet our valued customers.”

Mr Naua also revealed several other exciting developments which would be introduced to improve their customer service experience.
