Update: 2:08PM SEMI Babitu was among the first Fijians to buy tickets on Monday for the Super Rugby match between the Chiefs and Crusaders in Suva on July 1.
Babitu, 18, originally from Levukana in Vanuabalavu, Lau collected $5000 last week from the sale of ginger from his farm in Lomaivuna, Naitasiri.
He used $50 to buy two tickets – for him and his sister, a student at the University of the South Pacific in Suva.
Since last year, Babitu has been saving part of money from ginger farming to pay for his fees for teacher training starting next year at the Fiji National University in Lautoka.
Ticket prices are:- $15 grass embankments, $25 concrete embankment, grandstand $120 – $160.
Tickets are available at the Fiji Sports Council office at the FMF Gymnasium in Suva.
