Taxi driver in drug charge yet to take a plea

A 43-YEAR-old taxi driver charged with one count of unlawful possession of illicit drugs appeared in the Suva Magistrates Court today.

It is alleged that Nereo Cakautini had in his possession 21 bullet size of marijuana weighing 8.9 grams on February 19, 2019, at Ratu Sukuna Road in Suva.

Mr Cakautini has been granted bail in the sum of $200 by Magistrate Waleen George.

The case has been adjourned to April 5 for a plea.
