The KGW sponsored Tavualevu men’s netball team made a spirited return to the netball court, participating in the Salad Bowl netball festival yesterday.
This marks a key moment for the team, who returned to the sport earlier this year after lapse of five years.
Team captain Niko Tawake expressed the excitement from his team as they took part in the one-day tournament.
“We are happy to be back after five years and to come and participate in this competition.
“The boys were excited to participate,” Tawake said.
The team’s return to the netball scene has been nothing short of impressive. Two months ago, they finished as runners-up in the Western Rally, which was hosted in Lautoka.
Their performance at the Salad Bowl Festival further demonstrated their renewed commitment and competitive spirit.
The Tavualevu men’s netball team is looking forward to building on this momentum as they continue their journey in the sport.
