THE $18million capital investment that will be unveiled today is expected to turn a Suva brewery into a world-class leading facility.
And according to Paradise Beverages (Fiji) Ltd, the major capital investment would not change the taste of their product.
In fact Paradise Beverages (Fiji) Ltd general manager Tony Scanlan said the company would consistently provide the best products to its customers locally and abroad.
The three-year capital investment saw the expansion of the Suva brewery, Lautoka distillery and the Samoa brewery and includes the installation of a brewhouse, malt, silos, yeast propagation plant, and other plant and equipment upgrades to replace the existing dated Suva brewery plant and equipment.
“The investment will double the site’s brewing capacity and enable Paradise Beverages to continue to grow and deliver the best quality brewery-fresh beer for the local Fijian market and to more effectively compete in key export markets,” Mr Scanlan said.
The company said it would also deliver major sustainability benefits through reduced energy, chemical and water usage.
It said the investment was also expected to create additional employment opportunities in Fiji including downstream benefits to service suppliers and contractors.
Paradise Beverages (Fiji) Ltd head of operations Mike Spencer said they used local companies as possible as they could and at the same time upskilled their tradesman through specialits who were brought in from Europe and Australia.
This $18m investment will be the largest project undertaken by Paradise Beverages in Fiji.
