The 2024 Skipper Cup and ANZ Marama finals will be held at Ratu Cakobau Park in Nausori on Saturday.
Fiji Rugby Union operations manager and tournament director Jikoibau Matawalu confirmed the venue was only finalised after the semi-finals last weekend.
“Walking into the semi-finals last weekend we had Suva and Naitasiri finishing off on first and second on the points table. So, either of the teams winning the semi-final will guarantee where the final will be played.
“Since Naitasiri lost, Suva retained their hosting rights as they topped the table after nine rounds of competition.
“The HFC Bank Stadium is engaged with other sports so Ratu Cakobau is the only closest facility that can host such games,” Matawalu said.
Matches will begin at 9am with the Marama under-20 final between Suva and Nadi.
At 11am, two-time defending senior Marama champion Suva will take on Namosi.
The U20 Skipper Cup final begins at 1pm with Naitasiri facing rivals Nadroga. Last year’s winner, Suva was bundled out in the semis.
The main toast of the event is the senior men’s grand final which kicks off at 3pm between Suva and Nadroga.
