State to offer land to Fiji 7s head coach Baber

Fiji 7s coach Gareth Baber has been offered a piece of land to build his home in Fiji.

Speaking in Parliament yesterday, Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama said Baber had “delivered brilliantly” after he successfully guided the national side to winning its second Olympics gold medal.

“I believe he has earned a home in Fiji for all he has done and we are making the arrangement to offer him a lease on iTaukei land, should he accept,” said Mr Bainimarama.
