The Ministry of Health and Medical Services will soon develop new standard operating procedures (SOP) to manage the rare but serious risk associated with the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine, says health ministry permanent secretary Dr James Fong.

Dr Fong said given the low incidence rate of the potential side effects after the first dose, which includes mild symptoms of fever, chills, and headache, the new clinician guidance would help health officials in identifying the symptoms.
