CLOSE to 200 people who wanted to purchase tickets for the sold out Vonu Uprising Festival of Music, Dance & Lights  had to be turned away at the Uprising Beach Resort gates this evening.

In what  is tagged to be Fiji’s biggest live music event, the popular festival continues to draw hundreds of revellers from around Fiji and overseas because of the great music on show and it’s family oriented.
Pacific Coast Events & Promotions (PCEP) producer Darlene Underwood said it was unfortunate they had to turn away many people but has urged them to buy their tickets early come next year.
“We haven’t had any incidents in the past nine years that we’ve held this event and it  shows that people just want to have a good time and enjoy the great music,” she said.
The music festival celebrates it’s tenth year this year.
