DESPITE losing to Suva in the first round of the Skipper Cup competition, Tailevu is confident they can change the game plan when they take on Namosi next weekend.

Team manager Lepani Matea said it is crucial for the team to keep the momentum after a lapse of two years away from the competition.

“This is a new year for Tailevu Rugby and we are grateful to all our supporters for rallying behind us in every game that we play,” Matea said.

“Majority of our players are young and talent and we are grateful to our coaching panel, our strength and conditioning coach Ratu Imanueli Veikoso and our technical advisor Inoke Male for helping the players.

“All we need is to tighten up our forwards and defense but most of all maintain discipline on the field.”

Tailevu will take on Namosi in the second round of the competition next weekend at Thompson Park in Navua.
