Silktails record first Ron Massey Cup win

The Kaiviti Silktails have started to adjust to the Ron Massey Cup competition after a huge win in Sydney, Australia yesterday.

The Wes Naiqama-coached team recorded a 36-16 over Glebe Dirty Reds.

“We record our first win of the season as the boys ran in six tries in front of our home fans,” a statement on the club’s Facebook page reads.

Playmaker Nayavucere was the star of the Fijian side.

“Stand-off Waisale Nayavucere with almost a perfect kicking record slotting five conversions and a penalty, missing his only conversion at the buzzer.

“Fantastic performance from the team, thank you also to our opposition Glebe Dirty Reds for a well contested game.

“Vinaka vakalevu to all our loved ones back home for the tremendous support.

“This ones for you,” the club’s Facebook page said.
