The Fiji Primary Schools Inter-District Championship kicks off today at Subrail Park in Labasa, featuring 20 boys’ teams and 10 girls’ teams from various districts.
Ba and Savusavu will officially kick off the competition.
Fiji Primary Schools Football Association president Dinamani Mudaliar said this year’s tournament promises to showcase the best young talents in the region.
“This event not only allows the children to showcase their skills but also encourages a sense of community and camaraderie among the different districts,” he said.
Mudaliar said the preparations for the competition had been thorough, with Subrail Park ready to welcome participants and spectators alike.
“The facilities are in excellent condition, ensuring an optimal environment for the young athletes to compete.”
He said there would be games played at the ground of Khalsa College as well, but the main competition would be held at Subrail Park.
“Stiff competition is expected in the four days.”
