DYNAMIC flanker Kitione Salawa is on the brink of making history as he prepares to mark his 50th appearance for the Swire Shipping Fijian Drua in the Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific.
This milestone comes in the exciting Super Kids Round clash against the Western Force in Perth this Saturday.
Originally from Namotomoto, Nadi, Salawa joins an elite group as only the fifth player in club history to reach this landmark – a true testament to his skill and dedication.
Adding to the excitement, the Drua’s match day 23 features some thrilling returns.

The starting lineup showcases a powerful front row with Tuni at loosehead prop, Samuela Tawake anchoring tighthead, and Zuriel Togiatama rounds up the front row calling the shots at hooker.
The engine room packs a punch as Mesake Vocevoce partners co-captain Temo Mayanavanua in the locks, while the loose forwards bring relentless intensity – Vilive Miramira on blindside, Salawa at openside, and Isoa Tuwai commanding number 8.
In the backline, halfback Issak Fines-Leleiwasa teams up with flyhalf Kemu Valetini to orchestrate attacking plays. The wings are guarded by the speedy Mataele on the left and Taniela Rakuro on the right.
In the midfield Virimi Vakatawa retains his inside centre spot while centre Maika Tuitubou comes in at outside centre forming a formidable centre pairing, with Isikeli Rabitu anchoring the backfield at fullback.
The bench is packed with impact players ready to turn the tide: Sairusi Ravudi as backup hooker, Penaia Cakobau and Mesake Doge reinforcing the front row, Isoa Nasilasila shoring up the locks, and Elia Canakaivata ready to support the loose forwards.
Halfback cover comes from Kuruvoli, with Isaiah Armstrong-Ravula set to bolster the flyhalf and fullback while Iosefo Namoce provides midfield and back three cover.
