ABOUT 200 kids showed up at the Rugby Academy of Fiji Milo Tag Rugby Festival at Albert Park in Suva.

The tournament featured teams from all over the Suva area competing in a game of tag rugby with five boys’ grade and two girl’s grade.

Founder Seremaia Bai said it was an overwhelming feeling to see more kids join in the one-week clinic and the tag rugby festival at the end of the day.

“To see the turnout here is quite an emotional one because we started with only eight students when we started this clinic off. Now we have more than 200 and we are glad we reached that target, this is just the first tag rugby festival but it is actually a success for us in managing to host a festival such as this,” said Bai.

Winners: Boys:

Under 9 – Nadali, Under 10 – Tuvuki Babas, Under 11 – Wales, Under 12 – Australia, Under 14 – Rara Warriors and South Africa both shared the winning prize after a draw at the end of the game.
