The Coastline Roos will adopt an attacking game plan against the Nadi Eels in the final round of the Vodafone Cup Maroons State competition at Prince Charles Park in Nadi today as it prepares for the quarter-finals next week.

The Roos will use the match as a platform for the upcoming eliminations.

Roos coach Suliasi Cakautabu said though the fixture against the Eels would have no effect on their quarter-final berth, they would not take their opponents lightly. Cakautabu said they would utilise their best available player.

“The game pattern that we will have against the Nadi Eels will be similar to the one that will be used in the eliminations,” he said.

“We will treat this match seriously and take a different approach.

“We won the premier grade during the 2015 Vodafone Cup competition.

“This earned us a spot in the 2016 Vodafone Top Eight competition however the format was changed.

“So this year we are back in the top flight.

“Our strong performance in the competition is through the efforts of the young players who have been consistent.

“They have been developing into a formidable unit.”

The Roos will play the Eels at 1.45pm.
